Woohoo! Public holiday tomorrow (or today since it's after midnight), then I took the day off Friday. Office is closed Monday for Christmas Eve and then closed again for Christmas means a 6 day weekend! Wheeeee!
Got in this morning (way early this morning) and I'm glad to be home, even if I have to go to Malaysia for an overnight trip tomorrow. I missed my bed!
Will post pictures from my holiday and work trip this week once things settle down and I can get myself unpacked :)
from those Aussie flies and hayfever :P
On the other hand, this is my fifth visit to Melbourne and it's finally actually hot! I used to think summers were a myth here in Melbourne so it's a surprise to say the least
I had lunch with Faithy today and had a great time catching up with her. Thank you for my gorgeous bag, absolutely love it! I tried to get a good photo but I'm not that good with my camera so I took this pic from the Warehouse website.
After she went back to the office I took myself off to Vivocity where I bought these.
I seem to be on a mad shoe buying spree (this is definitely the last pair for a while) since I bought these just last week and spent most of the week trying to break them in at the office.
That's it, I'm completely not looking at any more shoes for the next 6 months. Really! (don't laugh)
I seem to have a thing for red patent leather these days. I bought these shoes at Novo during lunchtime and unlike a lot of patent leather shoes, they are really comfy and the leather is surprisingly soft. However cheap shoes being what they are, after walking around the office in them for several hours I realized the inside of the shoe was starting to tear from the friction of my toes rubbing against the inner surface :(
But I do like them so much I might go hunt down another pair & keep them for when this pair falls apart (which it will probably do soon)
My work laptop died this morning, I was trying and trying to boot it up when all of a sudden, smoke started coming out (quite dramatic) and it left a huge scorch mark on my desk (thanks a bunch IBM). Lousy thing is less than 4 months old but thankfully I'd backed up all my data on Friday so no real harm done.
A sign from above that I shouldn't be at work today? Unfortunately the folks from the IT dept didn't think so since they managed to hook me up with a spare laptop within a couple of hours :P
I haven't really had the mood to write in my blog in the last week, too much going on with family problems and also at work.
I have been spending some time on Facebook though. Enough time that I did a double take this afternoon walking past the Robinson's window display which had this caption "Throw a dinner party for everyone". If my mind is automatically associating the word "throw" with "at", then I'm definitely spending too much time on Facebook :P
Thankfully for my bank account, it's not available in Singapore in the color I want. I first saw this in black and medium blue during my transit in Hong Kong last weekend. I didn't want another black bag and the blue wouldn't have matched anything in my wardrobe. They were out of the red color there so I thought I'd check out the Longchamp shop here but they don't even carry this style in red. Still thinking about it though :(
Hah! Move over Anya Hindmarch.
Hermes has joined the re-usable shopping bag bandwagon with their Silkypop shopping tote. Ok, the design mavens at Hermes seem to have fallen asleep on this one since it looks quite dowdy even to this Hermes fan but at US$960, you can be sure that this is one bag that's not going to get thrown away.
