But I bought almost a month ago so they're not really new yah? I bought them from Tangs at Vivo City when they were having a special discount for Krisflyer members. They were sooo meant to be mine because I'd just come back from a trip & my travel wallet along with my Krisflyer card was still in my bag. :D
These are the black shoes I was talking about here. Very plain but good to go with everything when I'm feeling lazy (which is pretty often). They are a little flat in the toe area so a little harder to break in than I'd like unfortunately.
Then I fell in love with these. Sooo comfy! I know I only wanted the black pair but the discount was too good to pass up and these are a little snazzier than just plain black.
Enough shoes for now, I don't have any more room in my shoe cabinet. :P
and shopped yesterday.
They were on further reduction so I got a good deal. :) I also bought a top and a cardigan from Massimo Dutti and another top from French Connection UK. I'm lousy at taking photos of clothes and couldn't find the items I bought on the website so no pics. Happy with my purchases :)
I might not have a job tomorrow but at least I'll have cute shoes.
I've been looking for these shoes so when I found the very last pair at a shop in Raffles City, I made up my mind very quickly. I would have liked them in a different color but I decided this bronze shade is also quite pretty. It's a little hard to see but the shoes are metallic bronze snakeskin with a slight green iridescence.
I didn't buy a handbag I liked that I saw on Saturday because I don't need another purse but I definitely needed another pair of flat shoes so it sort of justifies my purchase. Sort of.
Wow, Vox is finally working...
I finally succumbed to those shoes from Tangs during their post Christmas sale
As you can see, I'm still not over my red patent leather craze. However, sanity prevailed and I got these ballet flats in black instead (even though it was also available in a gorgeous candy red). They have a cute diamante buckle on the strap. Finally I have a pair of flat shoes for work.
I finally bought my phone but learnt a lesson to never, ever buy a phone (especially an expensive one) under the influence of flu medication. The phone looked fine at the shop but when I got home, I realized that in camera mode, there is a stuck red pixel just to the left of the screen. Arrgh!!! Don't know how I could have possibly missed it but I'm blaming the meds.
I thought it was the camera lens but the pictures were fine, showing no sign of the stuck pixel so possibly it's a software bug. Decided it didn't bother me so much that I would take it back to the service centre so I'll just live with it. Fortunately, no sign of any such problem on any other phone function.
Ok, after all this I don't think I can afford any shopping until the end of next year. Happy New Year everyone!
At Saresha's request....
I really, really wanted a gorgeous pair that wasn't on sale but sanity prevailed... so far.
This is the website I buy from. You can actually buy the codes off ebay as well but I find this less of a hassle than bidding and following an auction.
They never seem to have the lower value cards in stock but I've added them to my MSN contacts and just message them. Sometimes they do have the codes in stock but just don't have the time to put them up before they are all gone.
Service is fast and reliable, I've bought from them at least 6 times already (if not more) and no problems at all.
The only part that is slightly tricky is opening an iTunes account that will let you purchase from the US iTunes site. They do give very detailed information (see "Instructions" at the top of their page) or you can actually ask them to set up the account on your behalf (this is new) then you just log in and change the password. They even tell you what US states don't charge sales tax on itune purchases and provide links to US addresses for you to use when you set up an account.
Songs from itunes are $0.99 and I've recently gotten hooked on TV shows which are usually $1.99 (primetime shows like House, Grey's Anatomy are $2.99).
For music, I usually copy the songs onto a CD then rip them back into mp3 files which will play on my mp4 player. Still haven't figured out what to do about the TV shows yet though, may have to invest in software to remove the DRM & reformat it so I can use them on my portable player.
I seem to have a thing for red patent leather these days. I bought these shoes at Novo during lunchtime and unlike a lot of patent leather shoes, they are really comfy and the leather is surprisingly soft. However cheap shoes being what they are, after walking around the office in them for several hours I realized the inside of the shoe was starting to tear from the friction of my toes rubbing against the inner surface :(
But I do like them so much I might go hunt down another pair & keep them for when this pair falls apart (which it will probably do soon)
I have a thing about toiletry bags. I used to have a wonderful huge toiletry pouch from Marks & Spencers which held everything. It finally fell apart last year and ever since then, I've been on the hunt for a decent replacement.
I don't know how or why but instead of trying to find one large bag to replace that M&S pouch, I've ended up buying an assortment of small pouches that don't seem to quite fit my needs. This is what I bought today from the Nike shop
It's got a hot pink interior and lots of pockets which I like but somehow I don't think this is going to be "just right" either since it's actually not all that big. It's kind of ironic that there was a really large Mens toiletry pouch at the shop when everyone knows us gals have more beauty & skincare stuff to haul around. I might have bought it anyway but it was a really boring grey/black color :P My colleague pointed out that it's easier to pack when I have several small pouches I could stuff into odd corners of my suitcase but I still like throwing everything into one pouch and knowing all my makeup, skincare and toiletries are inside rather than digging through several pouches to find what I want.
And the search continues....
